ABOUT US
Our Mission
Our
mission at Beacon of Hope is to help empower victims of domestic violence to
become self-sufficient by providing safety, support and education in a Christ
centered environment.
Our Vision
Our vision is to provide transitional housing to woman and children who are ready for the transition from an emergency facility into self-supporting lives in the community. We offer counseling, life skills training, pet safety, transportation assistance, clothing and all other services needed to restore the victims and lead them to freedom. Our vision is to be a Beacon of Hope for them in their times of transition and to nurture them to become strong, stable, and self-sufficient.
In addition, we want our transitional housing facility to be a presence in the community, a source of outreach and education, and a beacon of love and hope in times of trouble.
FOSTER PET PROGRAM
Our Mission - To
make every effort to provide a safe and loving foster home for pets while their family heals.
This program was established when several victims of domestic violence abuse refused to leave their situation for fear that their family pet would suffer the wrath of abuse. It was because of this that our Domestic Violence Support Center designed and implemented a program partnering with our local animal welfare society and several veterinarians to provide these needed services to our clients.
Our Vision - To
reunite pets with their owners when they can be housed in a safe and loving home.
