Beacon of Hope Thank you for all of your help over the past 4 days. This is a nerve racking experience but one I must do to gain my santity back. I wish your shelter was up and running because I would be there because of your love and support you have given to me. Wow! What a wonderful night of Pampering for a Purpose! This event a great way to support a great organization that is intentionally sincere in it's efforts to support victims of domestic violence. I am so gratful for Beacon of Hope and all it has to offer women, children and teens suffering from his horrible crime. My prayer is everyone who reads this website will do something about helping or volunteering their time.

If you are not affilitated with any church then how come you are listed in the International Church Of Christs Indianapolis church web page? They will be holding a fundraiser for you on October 9. I believe that your womens center exists to act as a recruiting station for the ICOC.

I am not from Indy,I suffered abuse from childhood and came here from the south to get away from it,I had been depending on strangers here also I am in search of some of my family I lost connection with though DV 20 years ago.Julian center,salvation army,center of hope,etc.couldn't help me with this quest.I have been struggling jobs and a stable place to stay for almost 2years now,recently I saw on the news about beacon house.I had never heard of this place.A new hope.I need councel!-I am tired of the abuse

Yours looks like a very comprehensive program. Are you set up to serve women/children that do not speak English? We have such huge populations speaking Spanish, Russian, Chin, Karen, other Burmese dialects, Arabic and other languages. Looking forward to collaborating!

Hope is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life. Hope is the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best. Thanks so much for the vision and the courage to step forward to help women who sometime struggle with getting help because of life‘s circumstances. God see’s your efforts and will reward the fruit of your labor. I’m praying for many women lives to be change through the BOH center.

I am so thankful to read about the center: it is badly needed and way overdue.

I would like to mention that I was a bit disappointed to see that you did not mention Beth Stayer among those lost, locally, to domestic violence in the past two months. She was brutally beaten to death by her ex-husband, Michael Stayer, in front of the older of her two young children, two and five years old. She was a wonderfully vital, tender, thoughtful, caring, intelligent woman and she is missed terribly by all of us who knew her.
